So it's moving time again. My roommate has purchased a condo so we're moving into it on Sept. 30th. I'm going to miss this place we're in now. It's a nice three-floor apartment. We've got a big porch with a nice view of the communal yard, and a basement for storage (and my computer!). It's quite nice, but alas, it is time to let go. The new place is apparently nice. I haven't seen it yet (never got a chance to look at it with her when she was house-hunting), but it's a two-floor condo, so it won't be much smaller than what we have now (just no basement, but it does have a storage room). No yard or porch, just a balcony (it's on the third floor..well, fifth and sixth floors, technically). But it does have air conditioning, which will be nice next summer! So packing has finally started. I got a huge start today...took down most of my bedroom decorations. All my books and movies are packed, as are my art supplies. Luckily I'll have my correspondence course to keep me busy. I'm doing medical terminology, and the first assignment is due October 1st! I was supposed to start the course on Sept 7, but I didn't get my info for it in the mail until this past Friday. And I haven't ordered my text book yet (I'm borrowing one from a friend who just completed the same course!). So it'll be a busy two weeks for me! I should go start on that first assignment....

Wow, congratulations! Seems like it was only recently that you moved into that 3-story place. I'm jealous. We want to get a condo.
I forget, what is your major?

Yeah, it's only been a year here. Sometimes it feels like forever, other times it feels like it flew by. I really love living in a split level place...I think it will be a hard adjustment when I finally do decide to live on my own and potentially have to live in a one-floor apartment again.
My major? I don't major in anything. I don't go to school. I'm just taking this med terminology course to see what I can do with it. I like learning terminology, so it should be a breeze, yet also interesting at the same time. I do like learning, especially when its more on my terms and not my christian high school's terms.

Awesome, that's great! I think trying to constantly learn is really important. I actually need to get back into that.

I've been meaning to ask you about that (since your lease is almost up) Are you staying in the area, or moviing closer to home (I assume staying the same area, so your roomie can keep her job).

I am staying in the area. There was a time where I was DYING to move back to my old town to be closer to my family. We're really close, and two of my sisters had babies in the spring, so I hate being as far away as I am (it's really only an hour...but still). Alas, I thought about it some more and I really like my job right now (it's easy, but not boring!), so I figured I'd stay in this city. Since I made that decision I quickly realised it was the correct one. I really hate the town I moved out of, and the city I'm in now is pretty cool. I just need to get a career going and I'll be set! The only downside is the fact that I have to still live with someone, because I am DYING to have my own apartment!

Awesome, that's great! I think trying to constantly learn is really important. I actually need to get back into that. It's been so long since I learned anything. I finished high school over five years ago and I haven't gone back to school since. I've always hated the idea of actually ATTENDING a big college/university, so doing a course here and there through correspondence while still working full time (to still be able to afford to live out of my parents house, of course) is the best option! I hope it all works out!

Ok, so tomorrow is the big day for the move!! I'm excited to be all moved in, but I am NOT anticipating having to actually move all our stuff. I finally got to check the new place out this past week. It's nice! Needs lots of tlc...paint, cleaning, etc, but otherwise it's nice. The kitchen is SO awesome compared to my crappy kitchen now. I can't wait to have all that space in there! However, my bedroom is going to be smaller, and I'm kinda concerned about fitting everything in there. Let's hope it all works out! The living room/dining room space is huge, though, so I should be able to get some bookshelves or something in there instead of my bedroom. Anyway, I should be cleaning something up right now, or packing some kitchen crap, but I need a break. Since I called in sick for work today, I figure I deserve a break. So I'm not sure when I'll be back on here...hopefully in just a day or two. We should have the net back on Monday, if I can get my computer all set up again. Eep! Well, there's always the roommate's laptop, which I'm on now (stealing wireless internet from somewhere, since ours has been disconnected today). Hopefully it'll pick up something in the new place, at least until we get ours all set up! So ciao for now!

Alright I'm back! The move is done, we're all set up in the new place (well, we still have boxes to unpack of course) and life is good! Yay! I'll take some pics of the new place soon and let you all see them. We haven't painted yet, however, so the place looks ok, not great. Anyway, yay, I'm back and we have internet again and I'll be online more frequently!

I will do that. Hey, why don't I post them now? I have uploaded them, after all!
...
Crap, do I have to upload them onto some website first?
