Do you want me to talk about it, or just let it go?

Depends. Will I hate the show?

I don't think so. I just don't want to write a lot if no one is actualy interested.
The premise of the show is that Michael, the main character, is a recently ousted spy, falsely accused of being a risk to the spy community. He's been stranded in Miami Beach (with no money, history, I.D., what have you), where is ex girlfriend (sharp shooter and formerly of the IRA), old military buddy (played by Bruce Campbell), hypochondriac and obsessive compulsive mother and train-wreck-of-a-life brother all happen to be.
Aside from trying to clear his name and getting his job back, he helps his buddy (now a private eye... kinda) do odd jobs helping people. The ex girlfriend (they are on somewhat good terms) helps out as a back up usually. On top of that, he has to deal with his mom (too much to explain the whole situation) and younger brother getting always in over his head.
The show is also a bit inspired by Macguyver, Where he can use almost anything for anything (most useful item for him beign a cell phone, for tracking device, audio bug, surveillance video and of course detonator) and he uses brains to get out of tough spots usually blinding the bad guys and getting one over on them because they overestimate him (often by turning multiples bad guys on each other and stepping out of the way later). If all else fails though, he can handle himself in combat too.
The part I'm pissed about is the show seems to have started out as a mini series (a la the starter wife, except meant for the guys) but it did so well that it was given a second season. There are currently only 10 episodes (if you count the 2 hour season finale as 2) and the new season won't start until next summer, probably early august. And as much as I like cliffhangers, 10 months is a long time to wait.

That sounds like it could be good.
With the massive waits of shows like Sopranos, Lost, Heroes and Battlestar Galactica, it's becoming more the norm. Plus, it sounds like if it was originally a mini-series, they probably didn't have any more episodes made, so they need the time to get everyone back together, get contracts extended, scripts written, and schedule everyone to shoot new stuff.

Well, so far I really enjoy the show (if you ever do watch it, the one major critisism is that the main character has too many voice overs. Fun the first episode, annying the second, by the third you'll phase it out)
My biggest concern for season two is that USA will do the same thing they did for The Net (a series based on the movie by the same name) where in episode two everythign changes, taking away the fun and suspense.

I saw most of an episode. I think it might've been the season finale. But it was quite enjoyable. Bruce Campbell was great and seemed to get as much or maybe more as the main character, which confused me on exactly who is the focus of the show. But otherwise, reasonably entertaining.

If Bruce Campbell was kidnapped and chained to a chair most of the episode, then yes, it was the season finale. I don't know how much you actually saw, so I could explain why he was the focus so much. Still gotta wait till next august though for more

Yeah, that's quite a wait. Still no worse than Sopranos or Lost, is it?

I suppose not. But, at least with the other two you can either buy them on DVD or see a rerun every night.
I'm just hoping right now they make it worth the wait.

There's no plans to release the first season on DVD? There must be. That's basically standard operating procedure for shows now.

USA seems to be slow on the uptake. Most of their DVDs are at least 1 year down the line, if not two.
