For as little as $65, you can have your dog's DNA analyzed to figure out what breed he or she may be decendant of. A little kookie, but having spend more money on less informative stuff, I think it is a neat idea (although I'm not sure Duke would really care who his ancestors were)

Technically, I'm sure the answer is yes, although this one only deals with dogs, and too many cats fall into the catch all "american short hair". Also, the DNA gets too muddy to go back further than the grandparent generation.
