Have you heard that apparently MySpace is losing members and Facebook is gaining?
I've had a Facebook account for a little while but I've started playing around with it more recently, and I have to admit that it runs a lot smoother (and certainly designed a lot cleaner) and they have lots of applications you can add on to your page.
Anyone here have a Facebook account? I know Wayne does.

I know Jeff does, and while I've thought about it, I only have a mysepace account to check up on some friends. So I think it would be a waste on me.

FACEBOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!! I do have a myspace account, but I think it was only to view some artist's page or something. I still don't understand how MySpace works. Facebook is pretty easy to pick up on, and it's pretty much the new 'msn messenger' now in terms of meeting people. The days of phone numbers and email addresses are in the past...now it's 'Here's my full name, add me on Facebook!'. It's fun. My Facebook gives me a picture of a hot half-naked man everyday, so I can't complain! (It's an application, not pictures of myself, though one would easily get confused.)

Oh yeah Jeffrey, you're a friend of mine. I think I noticed your daily half-naked man thing yesterday.

I can understand why people are making the jump. I'm a big fan of Facebook's simple design, which thankfully doesn't allow users to customize it with gaudy patterns--although, my friend did point out that a lot of profiles are just cluttered with an endless stream of applications. To be fair though, it's those very apps that add that level of interactivity which MySpace never had--and they're probably the reason why so many people are signing up.
MySpace, as a social networking tool, is just not offering much. The only thing that separates it from Friendster (which I dropped out of a while back) is that it lets me keep track of bands (and find new ones).
