Short of some spectacular event, I'll stick to the X-titles. Thanks for the show though.

Don't you get bored only reading X-titles? I got burned out on them years ago.

I didn't say that the spectacular event had to be a good thing. I'm very tempted sometimes just to drop the comics all together.
But, it's also kind of like watching an old TV show. You know pretty much what will happen, but you still stick with it because on some level you really do still enjoy it. I cannot get into something with as much history as say Batman anymore. Hell, there are times I wonder how I survived getting into X-Men.
Guess I'm just really narrow minded. I also keep buying the same kinds of books over and over.

There's plenty of cool X-Men stories, so I can see why you enjoy it. But there's also a lot of other really great things out there. Plenty of it I would argue is better than your average X-story.
As for the daunting history, there are plenty of comics out there that don't have 40+ years of history looming over it. There's plenty that's much younger and plenty that's completely stand-alone with no such baggage, and everything in between.

I...I only buy X-Men books. Well, I buy Fables and other stuff like that, but in TPB form. Anyway, I'm excited about the X-Men: Messiah Complex event, and even more excited about the aftermath, and the new teams coming out of it! Curious about New Exiles...hate the title though. Maybe a refresh with a new team will get the book back to its original glory days, when it was actually original. Although it still has Claremont on it....

Yeah, last month's solicits seemed to imply that Judd Winick would be returning as writer, and now we see it's just Chris Claremont again.

The only X-titles I read these days are Astonishing X-Men and Cable & Deadpool--both in trade. I'm really hoping that the rumors I've heard about post-One More Day Spider-Man aren't true though. It looks like it could be a decent read if they don't completely ruin the comics for me and pull what can only be seen as a clone saga-esque kinda move.

I sure that a lot of things are better than your average X story. But by the time I find that out, I A) know the ending and B) don't care anymore about trying to find a bunch of back issues C) By the time the trade roles around, will I really still care?
